What to expect from my technology blog

What to expect from my technology blog

Hi, welcome to my blog page. I have always been extremely excited by technology and up and coming technology has always been a passion of mine. I have a full time job in physics but i write blogs in my spare time. I am originally from the West Midlands but I moved to Plymouth in 2002 along with my family to live closer to my wife’s sisters.

Moving to Plymouth is when I first had the idea of building my own blog but it wasn’t until this year that i really decided to take it into consideration. Researching about all of the new technology is something I love to do and I love to show other people my research so writing my blogs is perfect as I can tell everybody what to expect and what isn’t so good.

Throughout my blogs, I will be telling you about the future of technology, all of the good parts and bad parts of new technology and exciting new ways of working! So, if you want to know about new technology, what it entails, my personal views on what they’re like and enjoy learning about new ways of working for your business or the company you work for, then this blog page will be perfect for you to read.

I hope you find value in my blogs and if you are a local business, in or around Plymouth, then I would be more than happy to help you decide what new technology and techniques can help your business grow and thrive in today’s day and age. Please feel welcome to leave any comments or views you have on any of my blogs.
Thanks, Sparkle Technology.

Enhance the Protection of Your Home with uPVC Windows & Doors

Enhance the Protection of Your Home with uPVC Windows & Doors

UPVC doors and windows can be said to be the latest marvels of technology. With their high quality, they protect your home in a much better way as compared to the traditional wooden doors and windows. Stay in the most eco-friendly manner by using UPVC doors and Windows as they help to keep the dust from outside, and heat of the sun out of your home. They can be maintained easily with a minimal amount of dusting.

Many people open the windows of their homes to let the fresh air in, make use of the natural sunlight or to simply pass their time by looking around the street through their windows. However, it also lets the unwanted dust and heat inside. This forces many to keep the windows close, which helps to keep the dust outside but cannot stop the heat to come in and make your house like a trap as well. It also means lower levels of lighting.

The use of artificial lights and centrally air conditioning to reduce the heat factor will definitely lead to higher expense. A common solution to these problems is to install the UPVC windows and doors in your home. These doors and windows are designed specifically in such a way that they keep the heat outside, and only allow the light to come in. The main reason for the burning heat of the sun is the emission of ultraviolet rays, and installation of UPVC doors and windows ensures you a cooler home keeping the UV rays out.

UPVC windows and doors are extremely sturdy giving your home better protection from the traditional doors and windows. The natural light of the sun can come through them freely, making your home look well-lighted. The use of artificial lights for lighting reduces up to a great deal with the use of UPVC doors and windows.

UPVS windows and doors are preferred by most of the hospitals as in addition to keeping the dangerous UV rays outside, they also help in keeping the noise out because of their special acoustic properties. UPVC doors have a long life, and you can easily make your old doors look new without replacing them by recoloring them in any colour using a professional paint spraying company.

If you are looking to revamp the exterior of your home, you don’t necessarily have to tear out your UPVC windows and doors and get the new ones fitted, especially if they are in good working order. You can get the sparkling new look of your UPVC doors and windows by getting them spray painted by a professional company to avoid the extra expenses of replacing them.

Install the UPVC doors and windows to get enhanced protection, a fresh new look to your exterior, and making your homes the most eco-friendly. You can find them at most economical rates around you in different colours and designs and you can order them online for your convenience.

For double glazing and Upvc windows and doors visit Complete Glazing, they offer free quotes and affordable payment solutions. I had double glazing installed by them in January 2016 and they did a fantastic job.

Commercial and residential roofing; what’s the process?

Commercial and residential roofing; what’s the process?

With a commercial property, a rubber material is mostly used by roofers as it is often a preferred material. As a rubber roof installation process is very complex, it cannot be carried out by just one person. A rubber roof must be carried out by experienced, professional roofers that know exactly what to do. If you are looking for a roofing company in Plymouth I recommend using Plymouth Roofers, click here to visit their website.

In most roofing jobs that include rubber roof renovations, the responsibility to coat the area with melted tar belongs to the professional roofer. A roofer must be highly trained to do this work and must be highly skilled in order to carry the work out professionally. Due to this kind of job involving exact measurements and precision cuts, it cannot be carried out by someone who doesn’t have the knowledge.

What other types of jobs are there?

There are other jobs that involve tile, metal or shingle materials to carry out the job. With these materials, roofers normally have to remove any existing material that has been laid down previous, before any of their work can be carried out and they can install the new material. A roof can be damaged due to weather exposure and can easily rot, this is commonly known to happen with wood.

Why use more expensive materials?

With materials such as plywood, the material is a cheaper quality compared to other materials that can be used. Due to the quality being poorer, the roof will need to be replaced from time to time. Using more expensive materials to have your roofs done with is always a better option. Although spending the money at the time doesn’t seem as good, in the long run, it will cost you a lot less.

New technology predictions for the future

New technology predictions for the future

In a previous blog I ended it with the exciting new venture with self driving cars. Well, in this blog, i have some more exciting news about that subject. I also have some more new up and coming technologies that are sure to blow your mind (in a good way).

  • The new Audi Q7 SUV making the headlines
Self driving cars have definitely grabbed many headlines but, new technology is also bringing exciting new gadgets in your normal cars too! The all new Audi Q7 SUV has been said to be able to brake on behalf of the driver of the car and if you veer off the correct lane it will nudge you back again.
  • Going to a foreign country?
Don’t worry about a thing. With new technology coming available, we will soon be able to translate anything! Technology may be the future of breaking down the language barrier, all over the world.

The Google app will be able to translate conversations and even translate street signs for you. You will be able to go to a foreign country knowing that you can understand anything they may throw at you. This is also a huge breakthrough for allergy sufferers too as menus shouldn’t be too hard to go through!
  • Who needs sunscreen?
Not us! Well, maybe for a few years yet but, not forever! Scientists are making a huge breakthrough with sunscreen and could potentially cut down the risk of skin cancer and sunburn too.

For the around five years now, scientists have been doing some exciting research and experiments. Using both fish and coral (which both include a compound that protects them both from the sun), scientists are making a pill that will protect us from the sun like the fish and coral.

With these exciting new technologies coming in the future, I think the world is starting to become a better, safer place!

Why you must have an optimised website by 2020

Why you must have an optimised website by 2020

There used to be a time when people came to know about new things by listening to other people. Then came the time of Radio followed by TV and now is the time of internet.

People search about anything they want on the internet. For example, I am having a new kitchen done by the local kitchen showrooms in Plymouth.

When I searched for kitchen showrooms in Plymouth, i used the first one that came up. The search is normally done by the help of an online search engine. The search engines classify the websites according to their relevance with the search query entered by a user.

The websites that are optimised for search engines tend to rank higher and are the most opened by the users. It means that the website that is optimised for the search engine can bring you a handsome amount of clients and money in turn. The more visits are there on your site; the more clients you will get.

SEO is not only about getting traffic. It is the art of directing the WANTED group of people to your site. For example, if you are doing a business in Staffordshire, getting traffic from London will be of no use. Similarly, if you are running a grocery and the people coming to your site are interested in buying automobiles they will be of no use. Your site should be optimised to get the traffic from people who can be prospective customers.

Website design should also be supportive for the visitors. They should be attracted to the site and get involved in it. Only then you can get handsome business from the site. Website Optimisation will definitely bring your business positive benefits but it is a technical work to do. It cannot be done by everyone.

You need to hire professionals to do it for you. We present our services in this field. With a team of experienced and qualified people, we will optimise your website and make sure it gets into the eyes of the most people.

The best electric fireplaces for your new 2017 home

The best electric fireplaces for your new 2017 home

I thought i would write this blog on whether or not an electric fireplace is better than your standard old fashioned style fireplace. The reason I am writing this blog is because I recently purchased an electric fireplace from an online fireplace store. I was unsure about buying one as I had heard good reviews but a few bad reviews too so i was eager to review it for myself.

I can honestly say, I absolutely love it. It has been a great feature to our living room and has really modernised the place. As i was unsure at first, i thought i would write a blog about the different pros of having an electric fireplace, so you can then decide for yourself.

What are the pros of having an electric fireplace

  • Decor – As an electric fireplace can come in all shapes and sizes, the fireplace can be a beautiful new feature to your home. With different colours and a choice of coal or wood fires, you can have it as a more modern feature or a more homely, classic one.
  • Convenience – Electric fireplaces are known to have a much bigger life span than your average fireplace, this makes them more value for money.
  • Easy – Taking the fireplace out of its packaging, fixing it to your desired location and then plugging it in, is really all there is to it… it’s that simple.
  • Heat – Instead of some of the heat being lost through the chimney, an electric fireplace does not require any vent or chimney so it gives you heat directly into the room it is fixed into.
  • Safe – As an electric fireplace does not give off any harmful gases like carbon monoxide or carbon dioxide, they make it a lot safer to use in your home and they also leave a much smaller carbon footprint.

Why graphics is the way forward for marketers

Why graphics is the way forward for marketers

Visual marketing has a huge power and the use of graphics in promoting your business can increase views for your posts on social media sites and enhance the engagement for viewers.

We tried this with a local independant financial advisors company and, although hundreds and thousands of posts are scrolled through, only a few were found to actually grab people’s attention.

Those containing photos and videos are mostly the ones that grab attention. Even if you do not have a big advertising budget, you can make use of attractive graphics for your promotional purposes. Here are some tips and tricks.

Begin with professional images

First of all, you need interesting and professional-grade graphics – whether using it for social media, website or blog. If you are good at clicking photos, you can try clicking a few images on your own and start the process. This will help you to remain free from copyright issues. But if you are not good with photography or simply lack the time for the same, you can use websites like Picjumbo, Pixabay, LibreStock and Unsplash to get photos for free.

Check the licensing

In case you are using images downloaded from the internet, make sure that they are under Creative Commons Zero license. This indicates that you will be able to use, copy, distribute and modify the images for free and use them for commercial reasons. You will not have to ask for permission from the website or photographer. However, there is no need to do this in case you opt for images from a paid site. For an annual or monthly fee, you can get the chance to use the images.

Check the authenticity of images

In case you wish to ensure that the images being used are completely authentic, the Google Reverse Image search tool can be useful for you. Go to the link images.google.com, typing the address on Chrome browser URL bar. Upload or drag the image from your computer to the Google image search box and hit the “Search” button. This will display the websites containing the image.

Use custom graphics

Custom graphics are eye-catching and can convey your brand message quite easily. You can easily create graphics for platforms like Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube etc. You can add icons, images and text in order to make the brand easily displayable across any type of platform.

Share quote graphics

People simply love graphics containing quotes of famous people, which can inspire, educate and entertain. You can simply post a quote graphic instead of only publishing a status update on your profile.

What changes can we expect by 2020?

What changes can we expect by 2020?

So, i have done some research and have found some pretty exciting new technology that are predicted to make an appearance in 2020. I have listed the most exciting ones below for you to have a read through, I hope you find them interesting!

Using gestures to control your computer
Earlier this year, Apple decided to set up a motion sensor computer and make the new found technology patent. They had this idea and were swift to get it patented so no one else could steal their idea.

The idea was to control your computer through hand movements. Although motion sensor technology has been around since 2012, this is way more advanced and can bring more potential to the table.

Fancy a romantic getaway to the stars?
Well you may just get that, literally. Orbital Technologies have said they reckon they will be sending tourists up into space to a Commercial Space Station. A rocket will take guests up to the space station where they will spend time in a cabin.

Enjoying zero gravity, guests will be able to experience what it is like whilst enjoying the magnificent views of space through the ship’s portholes. The Russia company have hinted that this could even happen as early as next year!

Car… take me to the shops please!

So, the talks of a self driving car have been going on for a long time but now, they are finally testing them on the road! If things carry on, they could soon be part of our everyday reality. What is even more exciting is that Google have now announced that they have decided to team up with Ford to build these self driving cars. This would then be huge!!

Keep checking my blogs for more exciting new technologies coming up in the future!
